The Junior League of Morristown, Inc. is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.
Celebrating our 90th Anniversary
On February 1st, 2026, the Junior League of Morristown celebrated their 90th anniversary! On February 1st, 1936, the League was formed from the Junior Aid League of Morristown. Throughout our history, we have provided hands on and financial support in areas: Social services, Literacy and child care initiatives, Historical conversation & restoration, Children’s nutritional education, Fostering self-esteem in young girls, Human trafficking, Senior companionship and caregiver appreciation and Women transitioning from homelessness. We currently The Junior League of Morristown is dedicated to addressing the unmet needs of teens in Morris County and surrounding areas to ensure ample food, resources and education needed to develop and maintain a healthy lifestyle. As examples, we have:
- We provided the original seed funding for JBWS.
- Provided almost $300,000 in scholarship since 1986.
- Provided over $75,000 in grants since 2018.
- Worked to eliminate period poverty and the stigma associated with women’s health through our Period Party Initiatives each Spring
- Assisted community partners with meeting their needs such as: drives, providing trainings and workshops to their clients, and providing direct volunteering
Strength in Numbers
Since its founding in 1936, the Junior League of Morristown has been an organization of women bringing people and needs together. We welcome all women over the age of 21 who demonstrate a commitment to voluntarism regardless of race, religion or national origin. Currently there are over 200 active, provisional, and sustaining members from Morris area. The Junior League of Morristown is part of the Association of Junior Leagues International, which includes almost 300 Junior Leagues in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada and Mexico.
